Filippo Antonello
b. 2002, Switzerland — lives and works in London

Filippo Antonello is a Swiss-Italian multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the boundaries between memory and loss, presence and absence. Working with bleach and ink on fabrics such as velvet, denim, and corduroy, Antonello treats painting as a site of continual transformation, where images emerge and dissolve through processes of layering and removal.

Embracing chance and material instability, his work evokes analogue photography and reveals a balance between fragility and permanence. Antonello holds a BA from the University of Amsterdam and an MA from Central Saint Martins, London.

Recent exhibitions include Urban Dwellers at Lawrence van Hagen, London (2025); and Aufheben at Kearsey & Gold, London (2025).
