About
Armature residency space

Armature is an eight-week, fully funded and non-prescriptive residency in Cambridge, England that supports interdisciplinary exchange among artists, writers and thinkers.

Through dedicated studio and living spaces, financial support and mentorship opportunities, residents are encouraged to experiment, take risks and develop ambitious new work free from commercial constraint.

Hosting three creatives at a time, Armature offers a setting where participants live and work side-by-side, a dynamic environment where distinct practices can intersect, challenge and inform one another.

The programme is designed to support emerging and early-career creatives, that may include painters, poets, sculptors, textile designers, performance artists, research artists, photographers, filmmakers, new media artists, art critics and writers.
