Aaron Kudi
b. 1993, Bauchi, Nigeria — lives and works in London

Aaron Kudi’s practice extends the tradition of Nigerian Natural Synthesis, working on large-scale cotton duck, in liquid metal, industrial enamel, raw pigment, oil, and oil stick.

The floor is Kudi’s primary working plane where gravity and oxidisation govern the separation and settlement of material. Kudi studied psychology at UCL and is currently completing his MFA at the Slade School of Fine Art, graduating in 2026.

Recent exhibitions include A World in Dew at Matt Carey-Williams, London (2025); group exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Paris (2023); and group exhibition at Copeland Gallery, London (2022).
